Sharon C Fergusson is an artist, author, illustrator, designer, interior designer, and singer songwriter living rurally in Leigh, North of Auckland.

Born and raised in NZ, Sharon has created numerous commissioned artworks including illustrations, paintings, murals & mosaics for corporate, residential & commercial clients in New Zealand & abroad.

Author of short story 'Because', awarded an honorable mention in NZ Writers College 2021 Annual Short Story Competition, and creator/producer of children's songs and videos under the name 'The Singing Pipi', Sharon's journey into picture books began in 2023 after fare welling her beloved dog Toby of almost 17 years. That loss created a space to re-evaluate some life goals one of which had been to write and illustrate children's books.

Influenced by cherished memories of Doctor Seuss books, Sunday Stories on Radio, and borrowing as many books as possible from the local library, Sharon's vivid imagination and quirky sense of humor unite to create stories intended to inspire a shared love of books in our youngest readers.
